Treatment for Problem Veins

Our consultant vascular surgeon specialises in the treatment and management of problem veins - varicose and thread veins. The treatment for these conditions are mostly done under local anaesthetic at the clinic itself. Our multi-diciplinary team will guide you through, right from the consultation to the treatment and after care.

Endovenous Laser / Radiofrequency Ablation

These are minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of unsightly varicose veins. Both these procedures involve insertion of a heat delivering catheter (either laser or radio-frequency) into the malfunctioning varicose vein. Heat treatment of the veins cause them to collapse and shrivel.

These procedures can be performed under local or general anaesthesia.

This procedure involves making a small cut in the skin overlying the offending vein to remove it from the body.

This can be performed under local or general anaesthetic.

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat unsightly veins. The veins are injected with a chemical that causes the vein to collapse. This procedure is used to treat thread veins and varicose veins.
